Last weekend Steve and I drove up to St. Joseph to visit his Mom and Dad. While there Steve's mom, Linda, and I did a little bit of fall decorating! Needless to say, she inspired me!! Yesterday, I took a trip out to Michaels and bought a few things to make our apartment look a little "fallish!"
The bouquet is just four fall floral stems bunched together and put in the cute antique pitcher I picked up!
This glass jar was used at our wedding and I had full of potpourri for at first, which looked great! However, I thought it would look nice if I changed out the contents during each season. So during fall it will have the pumpkins and things, and in the winter I'll add something new!
This wreath was so much fun to make and really easy! I bought a "grapevine wreath" for $2.50 then added the same leaves that I used in the pitcher pictured above. Except, this time, I cut the leaves off the stems and just weaved them through the original wreath. No glue needed and it took me less than 30 minutes! Here is a picture of how it started.
I hope you like our fall decorations, and maybe it will inspire you to spruce up your house like my mother-in-law inspired me!!!
